Hi, my name is Jenny. I'm from Seattle. I just moved to Santiago, Chile a month ago to get my TEFL certificate and teach English.

Santiago is cool, and I've been to Buenos Aires, but I want to travel while I'm here. What places in S.A. do you recommend?

hey,
Go to Brazil,, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza and Sao Paulo, they're all hella awesome, and also if you can go to any beaches in Brazil, ones which arn't tourist destinations, they beat everything!

Ecuador is cool. There are the beaches, mountains, volcanoes, and Papallacta has hot springs. A lot of Ecuador is nice.

you are so lucky. i was living in santiago for 3 months, and just got home three days ago. i want to go back. anyway, i suggest getting to know chile. it's a really amazing and beautiful place. santiago is great and all, but you gotta get out of the city to really see what chile is all about. chiloe is simply gorgeous. it's about 17 hours south of santiago by bus and should cost about 11 lucas one way. also there are planes, but i've traveled by bus without a problem and it's a lot cheaper. in chiloe i visited the towns of ancud and castro. also the puerto montt area is really nice, but i wouldn't necesarily suggest staying in puerto montt. the surrounding towns in the area are a lot nicer...puerto varas for example. if you go there i would also suggest crossing over to the lake district side of argentina and visiting bariloche. the best thing to do also, while you're in chile is just ask people what they suggest. la serena in the north is supposed to be really great as well, but i never visited.

where are you living in santiago, if you don't mind me asking. i was living in barrio brasil which i really liked. if you ever find yourself in barrio brasil i would check out this cute little cafe that serves empanadas...but not really greasy ones and they also have some veg selections. it's called peperone's and it's on huerfanos really close to the corner at av. brasil.

anyway, have a great time!!!
